PERFORMANCE ART: Walk

This piece is about the human desire to rush into the future whilst missing and not appreciating the present moment.
This is a performance art piece in which I walked the length of Castlepoint Shopping centre in slow motion (the entirety of the piece lasted 41 minutes. I decided to wear all black to add to the professionalism of the work and the reasoning behind being covered in flour was to fit in with my slow movement (making me look ancient - this could also be interpreted as looking like a stone statue representing a broken society caused by not appreciating the present).

*THIS PIECE WAS DESIGNED TO BE WATCHED FROM START TO FINISH IN IT'S ENTIRETY.

This performance piece takes inspiration from Marina Abramovic. Like her My aim was to push the overall focus onto the audience. Making them think about themselves and their current fast paced lives.
